What are "meth"?
The term refers to amateur drink production, done in illegal laboratories in an empirical way. The production may include artificial perfumes and also illegal alcohol with high concentration in methyl alcohol (wood spirit). The production procedures and the result -taste and consumer's safety- are doubtful. These drinks might prove very dangerous for health, because of the ingredients used. It is also illegal to produce such drinks and all offenders are prosecuted for a series of serious criminal offenses.
Recently, the authorities have not found any illegal laboratories in Greece, neither the General Chemical State Laboratory has come across any such samples. However, there are rumors that this kind of illegal laboratories exist in countries of the ex- eastern block. AADD has asked the institutionalization of a control system for imports for those that are not importing from official foreign Houses. |
