Alcohol Consequences
What is a «hangover"
The "Hangover" is the ugly feeling of the next day, after a night when we have consumed more alcohol than we should have.
The most frequent symptoms are strong and persistent headache, thirst, depression, sensitivity to light and noise.
What mainly causes the hangover is the dehydration caused by the diuretic properties of alcohol, which get more intense as the quantity of alcohol consumed increases. Additionally, the plant extracts contained in some alcoholic beverages may cause toxicity and create the «hangover» symptoms. |
