The effects of excessive consumption
Excessive and mainly frequent alcohol consumption leads to serious health problems, such as:
- Alcohol dependency or alcoholism
- Liver cirrhosis or liver cancer
- Pancreatitis
- Certain mental disorders, such as memory loss or even temporary dementia
- Stomach ulcer
- Increased risk of cardiovascular diseases
- Increased risk of certain cancers
- Psychological disorders
- Sexual dysfunction or even impotence
- Possible toxic poisoning that could lead to death
Excessive consumption, even occasionally, could lead to dangerous behavior, such as aggressiveness, accidents, injuries, occasional unprotected sexual relationships, trouble with the police.
